At your request, the Building Div'is'ion of the City of Springfield madeanoccupancy
inspection on June 16,1980, at 161 North 17th Street, Springfield,0regon.
The following itenis must be installed, repaired or rep'laced to conform to the
Uniform Housing Code as adopted by the C'ity of Springfie'ld:
STRUCTURAL AND FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY:
1. Chimney support is of insufficient size or strength to carry imposed load
of masonry chimney. (Section 1001 Uniform Housing Code)
2. Dwelling unit shall be provided with heatinq fac'ilit'ies capable of ma'intaininq
a room temperature of 700-F at a point 3 feet above the floor in all habitable
rooms. (Sect'ion 1001 Uniform Housing Code and Section 1311 Structural Speciality
Code )
3. Windows must be openable to provide necessary ventilation and means of egress.
(Section 801 and 503 Un'iform Housing Code)
ELECTRI CAL
f. install not less than a i'lo. 6 copper grounding conductor from servjce panel
neutral bus to an outside grounding electrode. (Section 250.94 National Electrical
Code )
2. Install not less than No. 6 copper grounding condutor from service panel
neutral bus to an 'interior cold water P'iPe, termjnating with an approved
service grounding clamp. (Section 250-94 National Electrjcal Code)
3. Remove spliced conductors through living room light fixture. (Section 410-30 (c),
410-39, and 300-15 (a) National Electrical Code)
4. Remove kinked condu'it below service pane1. (Section 348-9 National Electrical
Code )
5. Install cover on washer outlet. (Sect'ion 370-18 (c))
6. Install not larger than 125 amp ma'in breaker in panel . flo. 1 aluminum service
conductor. (Section 230-90 (a))
