Subject: Courtesy Inspection at 113 N. 16th Street Springfield, Qregon

At the request of your tenant, the Springfield Building Safety Division
recently conducted an inspection of your property at the above address.
The inspection revealed itens which do not neet the mininun City Housing
Code requireuents and rnust be corrected. They consist of the following:
Structural
1. Deterioration is evident in the roof covering, creating a potential for
weather infiltration and danage to the interiors. Moisture infiltration
was observed in units 2, 5 and 6 at the masonry wa1ls and various ceiling
locations. Tenants have complained about electrical shock fron touching
switches. The evidence points to general deterioration of the roof
covering as the cause of the problem, particularly at seams and flashings.
Visua} survey of the areas of roofing which can be seen from below
indicates that replacement of the roof covering may be warranted. A
building perrnit is required for replacement of the roof coverings. The
permit may be obtained at this office.
The above conditions shall be corrected whether you elect to repair or
replace the roof covering.
