SANITATION
The plumbing system is badjy deteriorated and has been innproperly maintained andfal1s into the category of hazardous p}umbing as described in Section 1001 (f)of the Springfield Housing Code. Although the existing plumbing may have metthe standards of the code that was in existence at the time of its installation,alterations and/or improper maintenance require corrections to be made in accor-
dance with both the Springfield Housing Code and the Plumbing Specialty Code.

At the request of Sharon M. Chocktoot, the Springfield Building Safety Division

An electrical inspection of the existing wiring system and both altered and
.,..addedwiringrevea1edthefo11owingdefects
1. General deterioration such as insulation breaking away fron the conductors
.oftheorigiona1wiringisapotentia1firehazard.
2. Altered and added wiring to the interior wiring has not been installed in "':.:
accordance with minimum code requirements thereby creating additional chance
of shock or fire
Becauseofthehazardousconditionoftheinteriorwiringsystemitisrecommended
that the interior wiring be rewired to neet ninimum code standards
NOTE: The electric service was recently installed and is approved up to this date.
The Oregon Electrical Specialty Safety Code Rule 814-22-L1O (1) states that elec-trical work performed on property that is for rent, sale or lease shaIl be done
by a licensed electrical contractor.

The drain pipe serving the autonatic washing nachine in the basement does
not work. Wash water overflows onto the floor and drains along west wal1
into basement ejector punp. Have drain line cleaned.
A stall shower has been built on basement fLoor and f,ramed with untreated
lumber and covered with corrigated fiberglass roof panels. This shower
also drains indirectly into basement sump pit. Renove this fixture = it
is unsanitary.
