CITY COUNCIL
ITEM TITLE:
MUSEUM COMMITTEE APPLICANT APPOINTMENTS
ACTION Appoint Stacy Roth and Zakary Gosa-Lewis to the Springfield History Museum
REQUESTED: Committee with full terms expiring December 31, 2024.
ISSUE The Museum Committee has three vacancies on its board of nine commissioners.
STATEMENT: Two applicants applied for the vacancies created by the term expirations of Stacy
Roth, Jenny Hornby, and Carolyn Houde with expirations of March 31, 2021,
March 21, 2021, and December 31, 2022. Council interviewed Stacy Roth and
Zakary Gosa-Lewis. Stacy Roth is reapplying for a second term.

DISCUSSION/ After the four week recruitment with a deadline of November 5, 2021 the
FINANCIAL Springfield History Museum Committee received 2 applications for the 3 vacancies.
IMPACT: At the work session on November 15, 2021, City Council interviewed candidates
Stacy Roth and Zakary Gosa-Lewis.
The Museum Committee requests that the Council formally ratify the appointments
during the regular meeting.
