Gentl emen:
A recent observat'ion of your property at llorth 5th and "B" Streets
revealed that a small graveled area on the south s'ide of the a11ey
i s being used as a parki ng area.
Use of th'is area for parking with its present gravel surface is a
violation of the Springf ield Zon'inq Ordinance. Al1 park"ins lots must
be surfaced with asphalt concrete, portland cement concrete, or some
other durable and dust-free material. (See the attached excerpt from
the Springfiel d Comprehensive Zon'ing Ordinance. )
The City, therefore, requests that by February 1n 1978 parking on the
graveled area be discontinued unt'il the surface is brouqht into com-
pliance with the Zoning Ordjnance. Please note that Building Permits
are required for park'ing 1ot resurfacing.
