ISSUE The City has adopted a compensation strategy that establishes pay plans that are STATEMENT: more representative of market forces. The City has completed a market study and is ready to adjust pay plans based on the results. ATTACHMENTS: N/A DISCUSSION/ Implement pay plan adjustments as follows: FINANCIAL IMPACT: 1. Move non-union general service employees to a pay scale that matches SEIU to help address issues with pay equity and compression. 2. Move non-union Police Lieutenants and Police Chief to a 7 -step pay scale. 3. Move all non-union employees to the step on the new scale that provides at least a 3% increase.
