Dear Mr. Bel I :
At your request the Building Division of the City of Springfield
made housing inspections at the two houses located at 1975 North
5th Street, Springfield, 0regon, on November 21, 1977.
The follow'ing items shall be repaired or replaced to conform with the
Uniform Housing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield.
For the concrete block house:
An approved vent shall be installed for the kitchen sink.
An approved relief valve shall be installed on the hot water
heater.
An openable window shall be installed in the living room for
ventilation.
4. The center bedroom shall have a openable window wjth a net
clear openab'le area of not less than 4 square feet with no
dimensjon less than 22 inches, with a sill height not over
60 inches above the floor.

The chimney shall be prov'ided with a fire-clay line or sealed
with concrete.
A tight fitting door with an approved passage lock is req-
uired for the restroom.
The rafters for the attached storage shed are over span and
shall be braced in an approved manner.

9. The shed type building at the rear shall be removed.
10. The wiring to the water heater shal I be in a metal raceway.
11. Install an approved cover plate on the 230 volt receptacle.
12. Secure wiring to the 230 volt receptacle.
13. The wiring to the water pump shal1 be replacedin accordance
with applicable codes.
L4. Install required blank cover in service pane1.
15. No evidence of approved grounding of electrical service.
16. Wiring to pole light not approved.
L7. Replace broken knob on electrical service mast.
All applicable permits shall be obtained before work starts and all
work shall be inspected before a Certificate of Compliance will be
i ssued.
