RE: Fountain Court Apartments, L725 North 5th, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Trazyz
At your reguest, we have researched our building inspection recordsfor the Fountain Court Apartment Complex, and find no outstandingBuitding Code violations. The most recent involvement the we have
had with this complex was a permit issued 4-l-o-89 for $5000.00worth of slab and foundation repairs to one of the buildings. our
records indicate that work was inspected and approved as completed
LO-24-89.
As I mentioned during our phone conversation, the Building SafetyDivision in Springfield does not perform any routine inspections
once a building is issued a certificate of occupancy. We do,
however, perform a courtesy inspection of potential building
hazards at the request of tenants.
The building inspection staff currently employed by the City ofSpringfield have never received a tenant complaint for this
apartment complex.
The Fire Department assumes responsibility for safety of buildings
once the are occupied, and does routine inspections of apartment
complexes on at least an annual basis. It is my understanding thatyour office has also contacted them regarding this complex.
