The plan is to have a place for my aging mother to live, that is near me but
possessing its own privacy. And in the future the property will bring affordable housing
to the community. My plan to meet development standards is by matching the existing
dwelling.
• The lot is of sufficient size to accommodate lot coverage and setback
requirements.
• The ADU will have its own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living space. It is
600 ftsq and will have a walkway from the front door to the sidewalk.
• It will have its own address and off and on street parking.
• The height will not exceed that of the primary dwelling and will not effect solar
access.
• The detached ADU will match the primary dwelling by having a similar looking
lap siding, trim, and paint. They will visually match.
• The roof pitch of the ADU will be a 6:12 as the primary dwelling.
• The ADU windows will have the same 3'x4' (Hx4) window dimensions as the
majority primary dwelling windows and trim will be the same.
• Eaves will match primary.
