ITEM TITLE: CITY PROSECUTOR CONTRACT RENEWAL
ACTION
REQUESTED:
Authorize the City Manager to sign the Seventh Amendment to the Independent
Contractor Agreement with the firm of Leahy Cox LLP (formerly known as Leahy,
Van Vactor, Cox & Melendy, LLC) for City Prosecutor services from the time
period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The City Prosecutor Independent Contractor Agreement expires June 30, 2021.
ATTACHMENTS: Attachment 1: Seventh Amendment to the Leahy Cox, LLP Independent Contractor
Agreement.
DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
In January of 2013, the City entered into an agreement with the firm of Leahy, Van
Vactor, Cox & Melendy, LLP, now known as Leahy Cox, LLP, to provide
prosecution services as a result of a request for proposal process. The current
agreement expires June 30, 2021 and the City is renewing their agreement for an
additional year.
There is no change to the payment arrangements from the prior year.
Staff requests the Council authorize the City Manager to sign the Seventh
Amendment.
