REQUESTED:
Approve or reject the following motion:
TO AWARD THE SUBJECT CONTRACT TO WILDISH CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $328,591.20.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
Three bids were received for this Overlay project. Contract award is now necessary
to enable work to proceed

DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
The project includes milling and paving 42nd Street from Main Street to the
International Paper entrance. The project also includes construction of ADA ramps,
sidewalks, driveways, signage, striping, and other associated features.
The following bids were received and opened on March 25th, 2021
Engineers Estimate: $489,392.80
Knife River $403,447.00
Riverbend Construction $346,713.00
Wildish Construction $328,591.20
Wildish Construction is the low bidder on this project. Funding for this project is
from the $10 million five-year general obligation bond that was passed by the
Springfield voters in November 2018.
