Children’s Bookmark Contest Winners 2020-2021
Youth Librarian Taylor Worley & Library Director Emily David will present the fourteen young
artists chosen as the winners of the annual Springfield Public Library Bookmark Contest to City
Council.
The Springfield Public Library has held a bookmark contest for grades kindergarten through
twelfth grade for forty years. This year, despite massive hurdles result ing from the Covid-19
pandemic, the Library maintained this forty-year tradition. The winning bookmark designs have
been professionally printed and will be distributed via curbside services and in the library all
year long.
This year the artists could choose between two slogans: “Reading Colors Your World” which is
the 2021 Summer Reading slogan and “Where Minds Grow” which is the Springfield Public
Library slogan. Bookmark designs could also draw inspiration from books, reading, and libraries
in general.
