ITEM TITLE: SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS - OATH OF OFFICE
ACTION
REQUESTED:
The City Attorney will administer the Oath of Office for Councilor-Elect Kori
Rodley and Councilors Leonard Stoehr and Joe Pishioneri.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
Section 27 of the Springfield City Charter requires elected officials to take an oath
of office before assuming their office.

DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
Kori Rodley received the majority of votes for the Ward 3 City Councilor position
at the November 3, 2020 General Election. Councilors Stoehr and Pishioneri
received the majority of votes at the May 19, 2020 primary election for the Wards 4
and 6 City Councilor positions.
The Oath of Office will be administered during tonight’s Regular Meeting. Due to
the Council meeting being a virtual format, each Councilor will read the following
oath of office:
I, [insert name] do solemnly affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United
States and of this State and that I will, to the best of my ability, faithfully perform
the duties of City Councilor, of the City of Springfield, Oregon, during my
continuance therein.
