Applicant Signature: Date: I served on the Springfield Museum Committee from March 2018 to March 2020; most of that time, as Committee Chair. During that time, I made significant contributions to the Museum's 5-year strategic initiative, produced the Museum's social media use guidelines, participated in planning Museum fundraisers (including the 2019 Mayor's Gala), and identified opportunities for the Museum to join national museum advocacy campaigns and programs, such as the National Endowment for the Arts' Blue Star Museum program. Toward the end of my two-year appointment, fundraising was identified as a very important goal of the Springfield Museum's 5-year strategic initiative. I hope to identify specific opportunities for the Museum to collaborate with the Library Board and the Historic Commission on specific fundraising events. However, my first specific contribution will be to submit the Museum's application and profile to the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Distinctive Destinations Program. In addition to serving on the Springfield Museum Committee, I also served on the board of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum Art (as the Student Liaison) and the board of the Shelton-McMurphy-Johnson House (as a grant-writer). I have considerable arts, cultural, and not-for-profit volunteer experience: I developed and produced Maude Kerns Art Center's Gallery Guide Program and earned the Maude Kerns Arts Center Volunteer of the Year Award in 2006. The Museum has an opportunity (and responsibility) to contribute to the continued revitalization of Springfield, including Main Street, the historic Washburne neighborhood and Glenwood Bv. Several projects have been proposed - including collaboration with the Historic Commission on the Washburne neighborhood garden tour, and a potential oral history of residents of Glenwood Bv - my intent is to ensure these projects receive attention and support. 09/30/20 Attachment 1, Page 2 of 2 Attachment 2, Page 1 of 2 Attachment 2, Page 2 of 2 Springfield Museum Committee 2020 Committee Chair: Howard , Adam ex: 3/31/2020 Eugene, OR 97403, Hornby, Jenny ex: 3/21/2021 Springfield, OR 97477 Roth, Stacy ex: 3/31/2021 Springfield, OR 97478 Auxier, Matthew ex: 12/31/2022 Springfield, OR 97477 Puyat, Tara ex: 12/31/2022 Springfield, OR 97477 Houde, Carolyn ex: 12/31/2022 Springfield, OR 97477 Attachment 3, Page 1 of 2 Fribley, Jenna ex: 12/31/2022 Springfield, OR 97477 Glass, Sarah ex: 12/31/2022 Springfield, OR 97478 Woodrow, Marilee Councilor (Council Liaison) mwoodrow@springfield-or.gov Attachment 3, Page 2 of 2
