RE: Zoning Verification Request for 1025 West N Street, Springfield, OR
Dear Ms. Miller
This is a request to verify the current zoning would allow Demian and Nancy McLellan to purchase this
property and make alterations to accommodate their intended residential use for autistic needs people.
Damian and Nancy McLellan (Owners/Buyers) are aware that this approval does not include building
permitting for the intended modifications to the building. Their intention is remodel it well enough to
occupy the property with their autistic needs teenager and someday modify it enough to accommodate
up to 8 other autistic needs people. The current zoning according to the most recent RLID reports
indicates it has Low Density Residential (LDR) zoning.
At the time of this application the applicant does intend on remodeling the existing building to insure it
is functional and useable as a single family residence. They are working on a floor plan to accommodate
up to B autistic needs bedrooms and restrooms within the current existing floor areas. They do intend
on painting and cleaning up the exterior once they close and occupy the facility.
Attached is a check for $360.15 to prepare a "Zoning Verification Letter" to verify their intended use is
an outright allowed use without the need for a Special Use Permit, Conditional Use permit or System
Development Charges to occupy this site. Also attached is draft floor plan of intended modifications to
the site in the long term- McLellan's are aware there will be permit fees for remodeling along with SDC
fees to accommodate their intended interior remodeling of the space.
