Subject: Land Use Compatibility Statement for a 1200 square foot office expansion at202 S.
18ft St., Map and Tax Lot Number 17-03-36-00-00500
Dear Mr. Foster:
I am responding to your inquiry regarding a 1200 square foot (sf) office expansion at the above
referenced location. Springfield Utility Board low impact facilities, warehouse, and office are
currently located at this site and the proposed expansion is for additional office space. The
zoning designation is Public Land and Open Space (PLO) which allows for ffice and storage
yards incidental to a primary use. The property has undergone two MDS applications in the last
three years; one for a carport expansion (Journal # 2000-06-0140) and another for the placement
ofa concrete pad (Journal # 2000-1 l-0226).
Expansions encompassing less than 5000 sf of area require a Minimum Development Standards
Application unless it is determined the property is currently in compliance with SDC 3 L010(4).
Per our conversations and a site visit conducted on February 21, it has been determined an office
expansion on this property will not require a Minimum Development Standards Application.
Check with the Community Services Division regarding building permit requirements.
