Dear Mr. Counts,
At your request, the Building D'ivisjon of the C'ity of Springfield made a
housing'inspection on March 26, 1979, at 583 North lTth Street, Springfieid,
0regon.
The foliowing items must be repaired or replaced to conform with the Uniform
Hous'ing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield:
l. The air condit'ionerin the front bedroom window prevents the use of the
only openable wjndow for emergency exit and ventilation.
2. Attic ventjlation must be prov'ided. 300 square inches at the upper portion
of the roof and 300 square inches at the lower portjon of the roof.
3. The stand pipe for the washer must not exceed 30 inches in height.
4. The flashing around the roof vent for the furnace must be replaced.
5. A fullway gate valve must be installed on the cold water line at the water
hea ter.
6. A pressure relief valve must be installed on the water heater and piped
down and to the outside.
7. A drain pan must be installed under the water heater and piped to the outside.
8. Remove the galvanized fittings connected to copper water ljnes.
9. Install a fullway gate valve on the property side of the water meter.
.l0. Install approved junction boxes at the light fixtures over the kitchen
si nk and f j xture f or garag;e.
ll. Rewire the furnace room and garage'in an approved manner.

All necessary permits shall be obtained before work starts and all work
shall be accomplished according to applicable codes and jnspected before
a Certificate of Compliance will be jssued.
