A number of publlc heari.ngs also occured for further citizen input. Then, as of January 1981, the Springfield City Council adopted the new Sign Ordinance. Section g-7-zt(s) of the Sign ordinance requires abandoned signs (signs vrhich aCvertise a business no longer locatel on the premises) to be rcmoved. Abandoned signs nust be removed by thirty (30) days fron the date of the notice of such viclation.
