Dear Ms. Markham:
At your request, your property commonly known as 635 South 3rd Street, Springfield, Oregon, also known
as Lane County Reference Number 17033534, Tax Lot Number 02300 has been changed. The new
address assigned to the property will be 542 South 4th Street.
As we discussed on the telephone, addresses are normally assigned by the street from which the property
takes access and or has frontage. After reviewing our maps which indicate your property only has frontage
on South 3rd Street, I requested Al Gerard, Deputy Fire Marshal to provide a field visit to your property to
verify the needs of emergency services for locating your property. During that visit, Mr. Gerard confirmed
that your only access is from South 4th Street, and he concluded that a South 4th Street address would
better serve you in the case of an emergency.
