It is clear after today's meeting that the anticipated use of the building for this weekend's cage fighting event falls under an A-4 occupancy type rather than A-3 as initialty discussed. I have reviewed the 2004 Oregon Structural Specialty Code (2004 OSSC) for an A-4 occupancy use in the current building. Again, this building is constructed as a Type ll-8, sprinkled buifding and has a minimum of 60-foot yards sunounding the building. According to paragraph 507,2, this building is not restricted in area and there is no place in the cunent code that directly restrlcts the number of occupants. Restrictions to the occupant load come from the number and locatiorr of exits and with the number of plumbing fixtures. Tho most important factor for this building is that it meets the fire and life safety codes.
