RE: Regional Sports Complex - Fire lnspection and Occupancy
Dear David:
This is a letter to review our meeting and agreements made on February 1,2007. I have enclosed the
current Occupancy/Egress plan using exits and desired occupant count as we discussed. The desired
occupant load of the Regional Sports Complex for each room is as follows:
. Court Rink Rm t tO, in Phase l, desires 2,500 occupants. This number is below the allowed
based on number of exits and exit width criteria, Table 1018.1 and 1005.1 respectively.
o Basketball Courts Rm B100 has 560 occupants based on table 1004.1.2
o Total Occupant count of the existing RSC, not including Willamalane, is 3060 persons.
I have also enclosed a copy of the future plan including Phase ll. This shows the same occupant loads for
phase I and lll but instead bf going out a door on the north side of the building occupants must travel
west along the corridor to the pairbf doors at the end of the hall. This plan also shows occupants for the
new rooms as follows:o Basketball courts Rm 1 17 has 560 occupants based on table 1004.1.2
o Fitness center Rm 1 18 has 120 occupants based on table 1004.1.2
o Jazzersize Rm 119 has 70 occupants based on table 1004.1.2
. Storage Rm 120 has I occupants based on table 1004.1.2
. Total Occupant count of future RSC, not including Willamalane, is 3818 persons.
Also enclosed is egress plans to be posted in the facility.
Exit signs above the center exit and exit due south have been removed as discussed and are not
included in our occupant count. Exit signs in the new basketball facility have been raised and we agreed
the pull station does not need to be moved as requested by the fire marshals letter dated 1 .24.07. We
also agreed to stripe the clear area required at all times near the pole vault.
I believe that we have satisfied all requirements to receive final occupancy on all phases of the Regional
Sports Complex. Please call me if you have any questions or require additional information. Thank you for
