WHERE THE CONTRACTOR IS UNABLE TO ACHIEVE SUB -GRADE COMPACTION AND DEFLECTION STANDARDS REQUIRED BY THE SPECIFICATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY FIELD INSPECTION AND TESTING, THE SUB -GRADE SURFACE SHALL BE LOWERED AT LEAST 6INCHES, FABRIC SHALL BE PLACED, AND THE MATERIAL REMOVED SHALL BE REPLACED WITH 11Y'-0 CRUSHED ROCK AND COMPACTED ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, PERMIT SECTION, 24 HOURS BEFORE BEGINNING WORK IN THE COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY. 12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT THE WORKAREA IN THE COUNTY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH "LANE COUNTY TRAFFIC CONTROL AND SAFETY PROCEDURES." 13.
