The existing detached garage was built around the same time as the main house, and so the look and feel of the construction is consistent throughout both structures. Each have been sheathed with the same exterior vertical wood siding, and the color and trim are also identical. Both roofs share the same approximately 4:12 roof pitch, both are clad with matching color asphaltic composite roofing shingles, and have the same eave depth and detailing. All windows on both structures share the same relative proportions in either horizontal orvertical direction, and are the same type from similar manufacturers with matching white vinyl frames, stiles, rails, muntin and sills. Proposed construction is limited to interiorwork. The garage conversion does not propose any changes to the structure, roof, fenestration, or exterior wall finish nor trim. All doors and windows are to remain in their existing locations. Any necessary touch-up or repair work shall match the existing conditions. The proposed project satisfies the design standards requirements as established in the SDC by matching the design and structural elements of the primary dwelling.
