appearing on the construction plans. A corresponding number will be marked on your
plans where applicable.
All references are to the 1996 Oregon State One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code,
(i995 CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code as amended by the State of Oregon, and
1991 Dwelling Requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code as amended) unless noted
otherwise. A copy of this code may be obtained from the Building Tech Bookstore, Inc.,

installed or corrected, and that all work on this pr project will comply with applicable
codes.

Provide sill plate sealer at all dwelling walls in two locations to reduce the potential
for air leakage into the floor insulation and the interior of the structure. Apply two
beads of sealer at each of the following locations:
a. Between the top rim joist and the floor sheathing.
b. Between the floor sheathing and the wall sill plate. (OSSC 5303(E)2).
Provide 712" dianeter steel bolts embedded at least 7" into concrete and 15" into
reinforced grouted masonry. Maximum spacing shall be 6'-0" on center with a
minimum of two bolts per piece of plate or sill, and I bolt within 72" of
each end.

3.MINIMUM FOUNDATION REQUIRXMENTS:
One story footing: 12" wide x 6" thick, 6" stem wall
Two story footing: l5" wide x 7" thick, 8,'stem wall
Three story footing: 18" wide x 8" thick, 10" stem wall
All footings shall extend a minimum of 12" below finish grade. (Table 403.2).
All sills or sleepers that rest on concrete or masonry walls or slabs shall be pressuretreated. (R-322.1.1).
Provide 6 mil black polyethylene ground cover, lapped 12,, atjoints and 12,' up
stem walls. B_40t.5.21.
The following U-factors apply to exterior openings:
Main entry door (24sf max.) - U:0.54 windows - class 40 (U:0.40)
other doors - U:0.20 Skylights (2% of flr. area) - class 50 (u:0.50) -
