Mayor and City Council Recognition
Mary Bridget Smith – City Manager Pro-tem
1. City Attorney Mary Bridget Smith was tapped to be City Manager Pro-tem on July 1,
2019 following the retirement of Gino Grimaldi.
2. Mary Bridget has led the city with integrity and dedication. Pushing us to take advantage
of a wide-range of opportunities, while stepping up to meet incredible challenges.
3. Mary Bridget not only maintained our local and regional partnerships, but helped them
grow.
4. She led the successful recruitment of a new city manager, led the preparation of the
City’s budget, facilitated work sessions and council meetings and reached out to
employees and the community to keep them updated.
5. Her leadership during the city’s COVID-19 response has been thoughtful, community-
based and incredibly professional.
6. We are proud of her work and thankful she will continue as our City Attorney. Tonight
the Mayor and Council will honor and recognize her work.
