Please see next page for the relative location in comparison with the wellhead. This means that chemicals that spill or leak onto the ground surface have the potential to contaminate the well in about 20 years time. Wesco Autopaint Specialties is a committed partner in the effort to protect Springfield's drinking water supply. Our hazardous materials management program emphasizes the importance of preventing chemicals leaks and spills and responding promptly and effectively should a release occur. We strive to increases awareness that the property lies within a sensitive drinking water protection area among both our employees and the public who visit our business. This hazardous materials management plan outlines Wesco Autopaint Specialties protocol for preventing, controlling, collecting, and disposing of any unauthorized releases of hazardous materials. The plan also identifies the greatest areas of risk within our facility and outlines the steps we take to reduce the risk. CESQG Status Other Describe Method: Wastes: No Waste Section V: Record Keeping (Inspection and Maintenance) Description of our Inspection Program: General inspections of Hazardous will happen daily throughout the business day as a part of workflow. More thorough inspections will happen during the monthly safety meetings and be recorded on the Hazardous Material Storage Monthly Inspection Form (attached). Completed forms will be kept for a minimum of 3 years in a binder behind the front counter near the Safety Meeting binder. If any containers are determined to be damaged or leaking, they will be poured into a new vessel that can be sealed. The empty container will be properly disposed of per local regulations. Section VI: Spill Prevention To prevent spills, each employee will be trained in proper handling of containers. Employees will be responsible for making sure that products that could be potentially hazardous are stored properly and safely on the shelves. All products will remain in their original container deemed safe for DOT transport or repackaged as necessary due to damage. These repackaged products will be fully sealed and labeled. The overall gallonage per package will remain under 5 gallons per container therefor reducing the possibility of outside contamination. Any spills will be appropriately dealt with immediately after acquiring and applying the proper PPE. The store shall have adequate spill kits with sock booms to isolate nearby storm drains if product somehow escapes the store. Section VII: Emergency Response Plan 1. There shall always be a complete, up to date, and comprehensive list available on site at the front desk with all training and other documentation. If there is any change with personnel, it shall be reflected upon this HMMP as well. The store manager should remain in contact with the regional manager to ensure the HMMP stays updated. Section X: Notes • Wellhead protection signs will be installed on-site to inform staff and visitors of the importance of reporting and cleaning up spills. Signs will be placed on both the North and South sides of the building. Damaged or missing signs should be replaced. • A private service contractor will manage all outdoor landscaping chemicals. The contractor will not store any landscaping chemicals at the facility.
