On July 21, I9TS'Emplre Concrete Cuttl.ng cut two cores from theEast stem wall of the foundatlon on 952 summit ln sprlngfleld. These
cores were then taken to Northwest Testlng Lab where they were put lntothelr curlng room.
core #1 was broken on Jury 24, 1978 at an age of 18 days and had acomPresslve strength of.2540 P.S.I. Core /i2 was broken August 3, l97B atan
age of 28 days and had a compressive strength of 2860 p.S.I.
The test results wtren adJusted to the recornmendatlon of AmerlcanConcrete Instltute 64-18 and the acrual Length of tlme between place-
ment.and tests provlde 28 day strength values of 3256 P.S.I. for Core #1and 3295 P.S.I. for core #2.
The test results lndlcated that the concrete
based on the requlred strength of 3000 P.S.I.
