HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 02 Springfield Upbeat - 2019 - Feburary 2020 Council MtgSpringfield Upbeat February 3, 2020 Children’s Bookmark Contest Winners 2019-2020 Youth Librarian Taylor Worley & Library Director Emily David will present the eighteen young artists chosen as the winners of the annual Springfield Public Library Bookmark Contest to the Mayor and Council. The Library has held a bookmark contest for grades kindergarten through middle school for 39 years. This year, 1800 students entered the contest with their unique bookmark concepts. All their designs, about reading, libraries, or the theme for 2020 Summer Reading Program “Imagine Your Story” are on display Youth Gallery in Springfield City Hall. The winning bookmark designs have been professionally printed and will be on display and distributed in the library all year long. This was a particularly competitive year!
