than 20. Ttre eipansiveness of the soil is low to moderate'(after H_oltz 1959). Beneath the
toam is a layer of targe rocks with an average diameter of 6'to 10", packed together with
sand. No extraordiniry drainage is required for treatment of expansive soils at this site.
On June 14,2000 a compaction inspeotion was performed afterfill placement. A layerof
3/4' minus crushed rock was oompacted on the site in accordance with our strandard
procedures. The lower bench has 2" - 4" of roek while the upper bench has 6" - 8" of rock.
The compaction of the gravel surface is greater than 957o of a standard proctor perASTM
D69&91. See attached data sheet
