RE: Demolition Permit #840235
Dear Mr. Sprague:
A recent inspection of the property a.t 448 North 35th Street, Springfield, Oregon
fourd the sile to be free of debris resulting from delolition of the structure.
However, our records indicate that you have not requested a sanitary sewer cap in-
spection nor'a septic tank inspection, whichever is appLicabLe to your proPerty,
relative to the above referenced demolition pernit.
If the demolished structure was connected to the sanitary sewer, the sewer must be
capped off at the property line to prevent storm water from entering the sanitary
r"*L, andlor ,"r.g" from itowing onto the property. If the structure was connected
to a septic tank, the sludge must be removed from the tank by a person holding a
sewage disposal service lilense. The tank must then be filled with clean bar-run
grrr"t o, oth", approved material. You may request an inspection by cal'ling 726-
3769.
Because of the potential public safety and health hazards involved when sewer lines
and/or septic tanks no loirger in use are not proerly disconnected, the above stated
requireneirts must be satisiied by 30 days fron the date of this letter (July 25, 1984) .
If corrections are not conpleted or we have not heard from you by the above date,
the natter will be referr"d to the City Attorneyts office for resolution through ap-
propriate 1egal Procedures.
