RE Fire Damage Inspection At 127 South
32nd Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Mr. Christian,
0n November 27, 1978 an inspect'ion was made by the Springfield Building
Div'ision on the structure located at 727 South 32nd Street, Springfield,
Oregon, pursuant to a fire which acured on November 72, 1978.
The damage was contained in the center of the building around the
chimney wh'ich had been connected to a woodstove. The fire was caused
by framing members placed tight against the brick leaving no air space.
Several studs need to be replaced and proper clearance will be required
around the chimney in order for the structrue to conform to the Uniform
Building Code as adopted by the City of Springfield for an R-1 Occupancy
All applicable permits shall be obtained before work starts and all work
shall be inspected before a Certificate of Complaince will be issued.

Division on the structure located at L27 South 32nd Street, Springfield,
0regon, pursuant to a fire which occured on November 12, 1978.
The damage was contained in the center of the bu'ilding around the
chimney which had been connected to a woodstove. The fire was caused
