Since that time, we have been notified that you are the owner of this property and we are therefore, forwarding this information to you. On October 2,2003,I received a complaint regarding sewage odors coming from the property located at 52819th Street, Spiingfield, Oregon. On October 3'd, I went to the property and spoke with the tenant at that location. I informed him I was investigating a complaint regarding sewage odor. The tenant replied there was nothing valid about the complaint and he was just being picked on. I asked him if I could inspect the rear yard, he replied yes. I didn't notice an odor, but in the rear yard, the ground around the building foundation was wet and it was a dry day. The building did not appear to have any crawlspace vents which would make inspection of the crawlspace not possible from the exterior. Although I did not notice the odor on the day of my inspection, there is still a possibility of a sewage leak under the residence. Because of the potential health hazard, I am requesting that you investigate the potential problem in the crawlspace under the residence. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to phone me at 726-3665.
