RE: 528 19th Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Property Owner
This letter is written as a follow up regarding a phone message I left for a presumed
property owner on October 3, 2003. Since that time, we have been notified that you are
the owner of this property and we are therefore, forwarding this information to you.
On October 2,2003,I received a complaint regarding sewage odors coming from the
property located at 52819th Street, Spiingfield, Oregon. On October 3'd, I went to the
property and spoke with the tenant at that location. I informed him I was investigating a
complaint regarding sewage odor. The tenant replied there was nothing valid about the
complaint and he was just being picked on. I asked him if I could inspect the rear yard,
he replied yes. I didn't notice an odor, but in the rear yard, the ground around the building
foundation was wet and it was a dry day. The building did not appear to have any
crawlspace vents which would make inspection of the crawlspace not possible from the
exterior. Although I did not notice the odor on the day of my inspection, there is still a
possibility of a sewage leak under the residence. Because of the potential health hazard, I
am requesting that you investigate the potential problem in the crawlspace under the
residence.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to phone me at 726-3665.
Sincerely,
Steve Graham
