I can find no land use or development request approvals for multiple units at theabove address. It would seem from the building permit history and utility connec-tions that two detached units have occupied this single lot for at least 2O vejis,but that a th'ird unit was probably created some tjme-in 1979 or 1980. Thjs iatterunit is clearly il1ega1 and cannot be occupied. I cannot be certain that the othertwo units didn't receive prior approval, therefore I would cons'ider this s'ituationto be a pre-existing nonconforming use. This status would remain until such tineas one of the un'its suffered damage exceeding 50% of the rep'lacement value or oneof the units was vacated for more than 90 consecutive days.
