The Department of EnvironmentementsforSeptictankabandonmentin Oregon Admi-nistrative Rules, Chapter 340, Division 7, lvhich reads: t'Each and every olrner of the real property abandoned, or which has been abandoned, sha1l have all the sludge from the septic tank, seepage pit or cesspool removed by a person hold- ing a sewage disposal service license, and shaIl fill same with clean bzir-run gra- ve1 or other material approved by the Director or his authorized representative." You should contact a licensed septi-c tank pumper. Many are listed in the yellow pages of your telephone directory. Upon completion of abandonrnent you or your representative should notify the Building Division of the City of Springfield for an inspection at 726-3753, You will have thirty (50) days from the date of this letter to complete the above and call for an nspect on the City.
