Re: Occupancy Inspection at 7827-29 North 2nd Street
Dear Mr. Branch:
Pursuant to your request to change the use of the lower portion of this build-ing from a residence (R-3 occupancy) to an office building (B-2 occupancy), thebuilding division of the City of Springfield, inspected the building on FebruaryL4, Lg7g,
The following items must be repaired, replaced or installed to conform with theapplicable codes.
1. A11 wa1ls and supporting members in the garage must be of one hour fireresistive material. This will require a tayer of 5/8 type x sheetrock,with all seams sealed with joint compound.
2, A guardrail nust be installed on the front porch.
3. The range hood must be grounded.
4. The range must be grounded.
5. A11 electric circuits serving office equipment must be grounding typecircuits.
A1l necessary permits shall be obtained before work starts and all work shall beaccomplished according to applicable codes and inspected before a certificate ofCompliance wiIl be issued.
