SUBJECT: HOME OCCUPATION APPLICATION
The City of Springfield, Development Services Department has
approved an application for a Home occupation Pernit. State law
requires that when an application is approved all properties
Iocated within 300 feet of the subject property be notified. Any
owner/resident may appeal this decision.
As part of the application review process the city reviews theapplication based on adopted standards in the Springfield
Development Code relative to the request. The city can also imposeconditions which may be necessary to achieve compliance with the
intent of the Springfield City Council.
If the applicant and/or nearby property owner (affected party)
feels aggrieved by this decision and feel the Director erred in
reviewing this request based on adopted standards, an appeal may be
filed. The appeal must be filed in accordance with Article 15 of
the Springfield Development Code which is available at the
Development Services Department. An appeal must be filed within 1o
calendar days of notification, by 5 p.B. Septenber 3, 1991.
The Decision of the Director shall become final eleven days after
the date of this decision if no appeal is fiIed.

DECISION OF TEE DIRECTOR
The applicatioa has been approved based on conformance with section
16.100(6) of tbe springfietcl Development code as follows:
A. fhe primary use of tbe building is a dwelling.
B.The oceupation is a secondary use that does not significantlyaffect the cbaracter of the dwelling or neighborhood.
C. COUPLTA}ICE WITH TUE TOLLOWING SEALL OCCUR AT ALL TTMES:
1. One sign shall be permitteds a Don-il1uminated, waII signnot larger than oue & a balf square feet.
