Dear Mr. Clark:
On July 14, L976, I accompanied Mr. Marion Johnson, Building Inspector.
on an inspection of a dwelling at 1457\ Water Street.
This department responded to a fire at the above location on June 16,
L972 at 7225 p.m. This fire did heavy damage to the wall and ceiling
members of this dwelling and damaged the electrical wiring to an
extent that this portion of the building was dangerous.
The owner is in the process of remodeling the building in an unsafe
manner in that much of the previously burned material has not been
replaced.
Our department feels that the building is being repaired in a manner
that will leave the building in vi-olation of Sectiot L.207 b of the
Uniform Fire Code as adopted by the City of Springfield on December
7, L973.
We concur with Mr. Johnsonls findings and agree with his issuance of
a stop work order.
