RE: Previous Address Change Notification
Dear Mr. Cowan:
I am writing in response to the previous notification you were sent regarding the pending address change
for your properly located at3962 Osage Street, Springfield, Oregon, also known as Lane County Assessors
Map Number 18020614, Tax Lot 08500.
Following the neighborhood meeting which was held on August 25, 1998, a number of meetings were held
between our staff, legal counsel, and emergency services. Fortunately, I believe, adequate resolution has
been reached for all involved.
Jasper Park Subdivision to the west of you will be addressed following the City's standard addressing
policies, i.e., the even numbers will be on the north side of the street and the odd numbers will be on the
south side of the street. The new street in the subdivision that runs north and south will be named Hazelnut
Lane instead of South 39m Street" which will allow us to continue to use the 3800 numbers in the new
subdivision. Although these numbers will not align with addresses in the outer vicinity of the area, they
will maintain sequential continuity.
The City's sequential addressing policy for the north/south streets will result in the odd and even numbers
"switching sides" where the new suMivision meets with the existing residences. The Public Works
Departnent has agreed to place a sign at the City limits stating that the County addressing system will be in
effect once you leave the City limits on both Pinyon and Osage Streets.
I will be sending a copy of this letter to the following agencies informing them that your address will not be
changed by the City at this time:
