Jr., & Carol D. Giffen 3940 Osage Sfreet Springfield, Oregon 97478 RE: Previous Address Change Notification Dear Mr. and Mrs. Giffen: I am writing in response to the previous notification you were sent regarding the pending address change for your property located at 3940 Osage Street, Springfield, Oregon, also known as Lane County Assessors Map Number 18020614, Tax Lot 08600. Following the neighborhood meeting which was held on August 25, 1998, a number of meetings were held between our staff, legal counsel, and emergency services. Fortunately, I believe, adequate resolution has been reached for all involved. Jasper Park Subdivision to the west of you will be addressed following the City's standard addressing poiici"s, i.e., the even numbers will be on the north side of the street and the odd numbers will be on the iouth side of the street. The new street in the subdivision that runs north and south will be named Hazelnut Lane instead of South 396 Street, which will allow us to continue to use the 3800 numbers in the new subdivision. Although these numbers will not align with addresses in the outer vicinity of the areq they will maintain sequential continuity' The City's sequential addressing policy for the nortt/south streets will result in the odd and even numbers ..switching sid'es" wherc the new iubdivision meets with the existing residences. The Public Works Departneit has agreed to place a sign at the City limis stating that the County addressing system will be in effict once you leave the city limits on both Pinyon and osage Streets. I will be sending a copy of this letter to the following agencies informing them that your address will not be changed by 0re CitY at this time: Lane County Sheriffs Offrce Springfield Utility Board U.S. Post Oflice U.S. West Communications Northwest Natural Gas TCI Cable' United Parcel Service Register Guard Previous Address Change - .hoation November 9, 1998 Page2 Lisa Building Safety Supervisor Again, I would like to thank all of you for comments and concerns during this process.
