At your request, the Springfield Building Safety Division recently
conducted a Housing Inspection at the above address. The purpose of the
inspection was to determine if the property complies with the minimum
standards of the Springfield Housing Code.
I am pleased to report that the Division found no significant conditions
which deviate from the City Housing Code requirements.
On behalf of the City I wish to thank you for requesting this inspection
which helps to assure that safe and sanitary housing conditions are

Subject: Housing Inspection at 3330 Oriole Street Springfield, Oregon.
Dear Mr. Farmen
At your request, the Springfield Building Safety Division recently
conducted a housing inspection at the above address. The inspection
revealed itens which do not meet the ninimum City Housing Code
requirements and nust be corrected. They consist of the following:
Structural
1. An acceptable means of secondary fire egress to the outside is nissing in
roons used for sleeping purposes. Such rooms shall have direct egress to
the outside through a door or window having a minimun openable area of 5.7
square feet. The ninimrn opening dimensions shall measure at least 20
inches horizontally and 24 inches vertically. The height of the windowsiII above the interior floor or landing of such opening shall be nogreater than 44 inches.
Electrical
2. Existing three-prong outrets (grounding type) shal1 be replaced with
ungrounded type outlets or shall be properly grounded.
3. The electrical service panel contains unused openings in its protectiveface plate which nust be closed with circuit breakers or blank fillers.
4. Unprotected wiring in the g,arage and shop area shall be protected in anapproved ruetnner up to a height of eight (B) feet.
5. Arr breakers in the electricar panel shall be properly rabeled.
Building permits nust be obtained for the above items which involve

repairs or uodifications to the structural, electrical, plunbing or
mechanical systens of the building and for any additions or revisions you
wish to make to the building.
