SPILL RESPONSE PLAN
Spill Containment
'/ Assess the area for safetv. lf it is unsafe to access the spill area or for fires and other dangerous
situations call 911. Evacuate the area and cordon off the site to prevent others from entering
the spill zone.
./ Contain the spilled material.
. Stop the source of the spill.
o Contain all spilled material with items in your spill kit (absorbent pads, socks, and kitty
litter). Spill kits are found at the following locations (as noted in the site map):
o LIST LOCATIONS
o Soak up spilled materials and collect used spill kit items for proper disposal.
,/ lf necessarv, call for helo. lf the spill is too large to contain yourself call 911 (or perhaps you
have a private responder like Northwest Hazmat). lf spills have entered any drains to the storm

Your demolition permit is currently being processed. There ma;.' be a slight delay, of
up to z working day's for small structures, due to the time required to rertew the
history of the structure to determine if it needs to be documented betbre demolition.
This documentation is for archival purposes only'and will not affect the granting of
the demolition permit. If the structure is very large or complicated the
documentation process may take up to a maximum of 4 working da1's.
Documentation will consist of photographing the building, taking measurements and
making scaled drawings. The documentation u.ill be undertaken b-v the City at no cost
to you. Documentation is being done on all structures dated prior to l94o that may
have historic importance to the City's development.
TTIIS DO('TIMENTATION \A'ILL NOT IMPED[: THE DEMOLITION PROCESS.
An age cut-off of r94o was chosen because this is the date that the National Parks
Service and The Springfield Development Code use to determine potential historic
signifieance.
If you would prefer to complete this documentation yourself you must provide the
CiO'with the following information: r) black and white photographs of each
elevation, a floor plan with measurements, and z) a set of elevation drawings with
measurements.
