The property listed on the attached form is in violation of a Springfield
City Code and/or Ordinance. Rather than issuing a citation or taking inrnediate
Iegal action, it is the City's standard practice to inform citizens of the
violation and request that it be corrected within a reasonable tirre.
The attached forni specifies the violati-on, the corrections necessary in order
to conply with the appli-cab1e Code/Ordinance and the date by whi-ch your
corrective action nmst be conpleted.
In the event that you have not taken corrective action by the assigned tirne
deadline, the matter will be referred to the City Attorney's Office for further
action.

Section 37.040 (2) of the Springfield Development Code,
Prohibited Signs, which states that "Except for time and
temperature and electric message boards, dry sign which
conta'ins blinking, flashing or traveling lights" is pro-hibited. The wall s'ign at the above location has flashing
iights around the perimeter.
REQUIRD CORRECf,ION: Removal of the flashing mechanism.
DEADLINE FoR CTOMPLIANCE: Thirty (30) days from the date of this letter or
February 18, .I988.
