A nunber of public hearings also occured for futher citizen input. Then, as of January 1981, the Springfield City Ccuncil adopted the new Sign Ordinance. Section g-7-21(4) of the Sign Ordinance requires specific violations to be corrected by the sign ouner or lessor when signs are potentially hazardous. Signs which have electrical violations must be corrected by 30 days fron the date of this notice. As a result of the recent City-wide sign suryey, the following violation was found on your property relative to the one year compliance time limit: 1) Remove the non-metal1ic cable. Oregon Electrical Safety Specialty Code (E.S-S.C. 600-Lz(a) ) . 2) provide cover for live parts exposed when cpen for setting timer (E.S.S'C.380-(5) and 110-3(a) (s)). 3) Seal aLl unused openings (E.S.S.C. 384-17). Unless you are both the owner of the building and operator of the business, all elec- trical corrections must be perforned by a licensed electrical contractor. By February 1.2, 1.982 , the abcve referenced violation of the Springfield sigecausethesignsuryeywasconp1etedinJu1yof 1981, it is possible you have already taken steps to correct or have completed correc- ting this viclation.
