Dear Tom:
We have reviewed the floor system for the existing structure at the above address, and find it
is suitable for the proposed floor loads (100 PSF live load per OSSSC Table 23-A, for assembly
areas with movable seating).
Some of the perimeter floor beams may be overloaded if it were occupied concurrently with an
imposed snow load, and the building may also require some additional bracing to conform to
Code requirements for lateral resistance. The building appears to be well over 30 years old,
however, and has evidently withstood strong wind and snow loading conditions.
We have attached a copy of our calc sheets for the existing floor system. If you have any
questions, please feel free to call our office.
