Piers shall be capable of transmitting the vertical live and dead loads to the foundation below. Every pier shall be supported by a footing. Piers and structuralwalls shall be constructed from one of the following methods: (1) lVlanufactured piers shall be listed or approved for intended use and installed according to the equipment manufacturer's installation instructions.
