ISSUE STATEMENT: The Library Advisory Board currently has three vacant positions due to the resignation of Board member Carolyn Miller in April 2019 and the expansion of the Board from seven to nine members per City Council instruction. The term vacated by Ms. Miller was scheduled to end on December 31, 2019. All three positions would be for full four year terms ending December 31, 2023. Angela Miceli Application 5. Amy Lyons Application 6. Interview Schedule and Questions DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Library Advisory Board is seeking members for three vacant seats. In April 2019 Library Advisory Board, Board member Carolyn Miller announced that she was resigning. She was completing a term scheduled to end December 31, 2019. The application process opened on July 8, 2019 and closed on September 13, 2019. Three applications were received from Lyn Allen, Angela Miceli and Amy Lyons. All three applicants were able to attend Library Board meetings. The Board asks that the Council interview all three applicants and make appointments for full four year terms ending December 31, 2023. Library Board CHARGE The Library Board acts in an advisory capacity for the City Manager and City Council with respect to opinions and recommendations for future Library development, expansion of Library service, and Library policy.
