we have inspected the above sites andfr"H"rfi E Sm^r?r',::A*e,rar seeps underthe proposed house location' ro prepare the site for construction, and to protect the house fromsoil-induced stess, we recommend the following:

Eisting seeps are trenched to drain on the downhill side of the house pad site. Thetrenches shourd be formed in a wide'v'-appro*irn"te1y Ig,,deep at the base and 4g,,wide at the top. They should srope to drain it not r.r, irr"r, z% (L/4- per ft.)
The trenches should be bacldrlled, and the entire pad site filled to a depttr of l2,,,using3/4" -(0) or l" -(0) crushed quar{yioct.
The entire pad shouid then be rolled, using a fully-loaded rock truck or 12-ton ratedroller compactor, making multiple passes untit maximum consolidation is reached.
A proofing roll wiil.be observed by a representative of the engineer,s office, and aninspection report will be sent to metity.
The perimeer foundations shall be reinforced 3ccordrlg to the attached drawing. Thegarage floor slab shan be reinforced using #4 u-s aD?. o.c. each way, ar mid depthof slab' The reinforcing shall be tied in plice, using 'dobies" or other ,*16 of ensuringproper placement.
The floor system using post-and-beam should be changed to a joist system with stripfootings, or the piers foithe post-and-beam be insaued? g" x 12, strip footings, with(l) #4 bar at the centerline of-the footing. This will control differential movemenr in the.floor system.
