By meeting all requirenients for approval from this widely respected, independent testing facility, Vollrath coolers and freezers should meet every local health department regulation. United States Gsting Co. Both ignition properties and toxicity tests were performed. Iest results showed "llash ignition" temperature and met UL requirements for classification. Fire tests on Vollrath wall-ceiling panels were also conducted. The panels met the requirements and are now classified by Underwriters Laboratories lnc. 450 or less when tested in thicknesses up to 4 inches, it may be used in the situation described in Section 876.5-fl3, regardless of the flame spread or smoke developed of the composite assemblyl' Vollrath foamed panels meet these criteria. City of New York Material Equipment Acceptance Board. Material and Equipment AcceptanCe Division for the City of New York recommended that Vollrath wall and ceiling panels for walk-in coolers, freezers, and relrigerated buildings be accepted under all normal conditions. They are given a flame spread rating of 25 or less and certified with this UL label. to be 590o F and "self-ignition" temperature to be 810' F... both well above normal local requirements. (All tests are designed to be used as comparative devices rather than evaluations of fire hazard or fire risk under actual fire conditions.) Their toxicity tests also demonstrate that, "When tested as specified, Vollrath Refrigeration Panels generated products of combustion which were no more toxic than those expected from woodl' Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Vollrath door panel assemblies underwent heating and dielectric strength tests Factory Mutual Research. Factory Mutual's report states, "... fire tests show the Vollrath 0.040 in. (1,01 mm) stucco patterned aluminum faced wall and ceiling urethane core insulation panels of 4 in. (101,6 mm) maximum thickness meet Factory Mutual requirements and are approved for use as insulated core wall and ceiling panels...Approval also is extended to similar minimum gauge Galvalume or galvanized steel stucco patterned faced panelsl' Lloyd's Register of Shipping.
