At the request of Cornerstone Foundation System LLC, Pacific Northwest Engineering has reviewed the empirical testing perfon ned by Cornerstone Foundation System, as witnessed and documented by Umpqua Testing Services. It is my conclusion the test results and calculations prove that the "Smart Foundation" Running Bond 54 (SI,RB-54), Ledge Stone 60 (SFLS-60), Smooth 60 (SFS -60), and Pre -cast Concrete PC -48 Footing (16"x 48" x 2 'i2"), Pre -cast Concrete Masonry Unit Footing (CMU 16" x 16" x 4"), Composite Board Footing (1 '/" x 6") or Pressure 'Treated Lumber Footing (2" x 6") when used in conjunction with Cornerstone Foundation System is acceptable as a tie down, perimeter pier and permanent foundation system, with a lateral and vertical force resisting system for wind zones 1, II, and III with a "C" exposure and a seismic designs category "DII", Ss=1.384, Fa=1.0, R=5 lateral load. In addition, an 801b./ Sq. Ft. roof load and up to a 30" lateral soil loads may be resisted simultaneously. SFRB-54. SFS -60, and SFLS-60 also meet or exceed the design requirements of "poured in place" or "poured concrete runners" type foundation from the "Permanent Foundation Guidebook for manufactured Housing' 4145.1 Rev. 2 and 4150.1 Rev (1996) and also with the manufacturer pier point layout. The installation also meets or exceeds the design requirements of the HUD 7584 Handbook. This allows the SFRB-54, SFLS-60 and SFS -60 to meet foundation certification for all HUD, FHA and VA lending on Manufactured Housing provided that the SFRB-54, SFI>S-60 and SFS -60 installation instructions are followed. It also meets or exceeds the requirements of Section 1333, Chapter 2, Title 25 of the California Administrative Code and 18551 of the Health and Safety Code. Cornerstone Foundation System meets or exceeds the Oregon 2010 Manufactured Dwelling Installation Specialty Code and the Model Manufactured Housing Installation Standards.
