ORDINANCE NO. 3164 (SPECIAL)
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE GARBAGE COLLECTION FRANCHISE
OF THE SPRINGFIELD SANITARY SERVICE FOR AN ADDITIONAL TEN YEARS
PROVIDING FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE
GRANTING OF SUCH FRANCHISE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE NO.
2366 .
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1 : That certain franchise granted to the Spring-
field Sanitary Service , an Oregon corporation , doing business
in Springfield, Oregon, as "collector" granting the exclusive
right, franchise and privilege of collecting and hauling over
the streets of the City of Springfield , all garbage and refuse
as defined in article 4-2-1 of the Springfield Code , 1965 , be
and it hereby is extended from the date provided in Ordinance
No. 2366 , originally granting such franchise, to-wit : March
1, 1979 until March 1 , 1989 .
Section 2 : All other terms, conditions and provisions
of said franchise as granted in Ordinance No. 2366 , shall
be , continue and remain in full and complete force and effect
during the entire period of extension.
Section 3 : The collector shall file in the office of the
City Recorder , his written acceptance of this extension subject
to all the terms , conditions, obligations and restrictions here-
in mentioned and mentioned in Ordinance No. 2366 , before this
franchise extension shall go into effect.
ADOPTED this 5th day of May , 1975 , by a
vote of -4- for and -1- against.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Springfield, this 5th
day of May , 1975.
